Here’s a summary of who will be calling the regional NFL games in Week 14. CBS has the double header this week.
CBS: The Redskins host the Patriots; Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf will call that game from FedEx Field. Meanwhile, Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts will have their second Jets game in a row, as “Gang Green” hosts the Chiefs at New Meadowlands Stadium. The one and only Marv Albert will be joined by Rich Gannon for the Texans/Bengals game, which will be blacked out locally in Cincinnati. And a game that will be seen in approximately 6% of the country, the winless Colts visiting their old home of Baltimore for a matchup with the Ravens, will be handled by Bill Macatee and Steve Tasker.
FOX: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be in the confines of LP Field in Tennessee for what is likely their first time, as the Titans square off against the Saints. Meanwhile, Thom Brenneman and Brian Billick will call a divisional matchup between the Vikings and the Lions from Ford Field in Detroit. Another divisional contest pits the Falcons against the Panthers; that game will be handled by Ron Pitts, along with former Falcons head coach Jim Mora, Jr. The Eagles travel to Miami to face the Dolphins, in a game that will be called by Chris Myers and Tim Ryan, and seen only in Miami, West Palm Beach, and roughly 90% of the entire state of Pennsylvania. And in a game that will only be seen within the state of Florida – including Jacksonville, so apparently it was not blacked out there – Sam Rosen and former Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington call the Buccaneers/Jaguars game.
CBS: Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will be at Lambeau Field for the first time since Week 4 when the Packers hosted the Broncos. This week, the World Champions will play another AFC West team, the Oakland Raiders. The other CBS game in the late game window is Bills/Chargers, which is the other game that has been blacked out this weekend; Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots will handle that game. It appears that the only areas that will not be able to view the Raiders/Packers game will be most of Colorado and Arizona (Broncos and Cardinals playing home games on FOX), except for Tucson, AZ and Grand Junction and Colorado Springs, CO; upstate New York (Bills territory); San Diego and Palm Springs (Chargers blacked out); and Yuma, AZ (for some reason, they’re carrying the Bills/Chargers game).
FOX: It will be Tebow Time as Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston, along with Tony Siragusa, will call Bears/Broncos in a game that will be cleared on most of Fox’s affiliates, a rarity for a game not called by the Buck/Aikman crew. Also, Dick Stockton and John Lynch will handle the 49ers/Cardinals game at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix.
