“Hello, enemies.”

That’s likely the first thing CBS play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz would say to the people behind the hacking of about a half-dozen email accounts – including his – which revealed personal correspondence regarding the Bush family, most notably the previous President, as well as his father, George H. W. Bush, who had been ailing recently.

The main objective of Nantz’s contact with both Bushes: golf.

Some of the emails obtained by the hacker, going by the name “Guccifer,” contain “correspondence between Nantz and George W. Bush’s scheduler about an October 2010 golf outing in Dallas,” including Bush’s address and a four-digit security code Nantz needed to enter in order to arrive at W’s pad, as well as the restaurant they planned to dine at following their golf game.

Also according to The Smoking Gun, Nantz would write Bush Sr. “about playing golf and visiting the Bush compound in Kennebunkport, Maine.” It was there that Nantz proposed to his current wife, Courtney, three years ago.

Nantz, whose career at CBS Sports has spanned four decades, just called Super Bowl XLVII last weekend, and will be working selected NCAA basketball games during the “March Madness” tourney next month, as well as the Masters golf tournament in April.
