After Danica Patrick became the first woman to claim pole position in the Daytona 500, Donovan McNabb gave her props for her “big win.” One problem: the race will actually be run next Sunday.

The big sports story today involved the Daytona 500. The actual race will be run a week from today, but NASCAR scheduled qualifying for this Sunday.

And when all was said and done, a glass ceiling was shattered, as Danica Patrick became the first female racer to claim the pole position at this race.

And amidst all of the predictable “pole” jokes on Twitter about Danica Patrick, came a tweet from the joke that is Donovan McNabb.

“Congrats to the Illinois native Donovan McNabb on her win today,” wrote the NFL Network analyst and NBC Sports Radio personality on Twitter. “The first female to win in a big race with this magnitude. Big win.”

As you can see, McNabb referred to Patrick’s historic moment as a “win” not once, not twice, but three times, when Patrick merely secured being the lead dog when the 2013 NASCAR regular season officially begins.

We won’t know until then if she will even make it to the halfway point of the race, let alone win it.

In other words, Danica Patrick still has won as many championships as, well, Donovan McNabb.
